You know its late your half a sleep and then the music just instantly woke me up and got me definitely noticing. Lights, with its wonderful rhythmic groove and then Ellie, with soft soprano vocals yet there was an occasional Rod Stewart like gritty edge as well. I would give her performance a 10 and I am a very stringent judge. I loved the song, the melody but most just loved Ellie her self. The performance was real and energetic. She fought for every note and was victorious. Holly wood she is not and that is the most glamorous part of all. She performed as if it was her last performance on earth. The way she grooved, sang and her eyes glowing in the lights have a possessing beauty as well. Great break out performance for the US. Very moving...I would say my second favorite musical act in SNL history just behind James blunt and move over Kings of Leon, Ellie-G is is on the runway. Cheers and happy new year....to your success.
