Ellie also revealed that she will playing at Coachelle in America this year on 17th April, along with Tinie Tempah who is also playing that date, this is great news for Ellie as it means more American exposure!

With the nearing of the release of Ellie’s debut EP “An Introduction To Ellie Goulding” in America (21st September) more and more American sites are talking about her, and giving her great press. There is also talk of a full American tour also.
Goulding, who will make her maiden voyage to the US in support of An Introduction To Ellie Goulding, is scheduled to perform in Los Angeles at The Roxy on September 28th and in New York on September 30th at Hiro Ballroom. In 2011 Ellie will return stateside to support a special version of her US full length release of Lights.

Tinie Tempah has been writing music with Starry Eyed singer Ellie Goulding.
The Pass Out rapper has asked Ellie for help on his upcoming debut album The Disc-Overy and they’ve already come up with a track together.
“Ellie and I have done a song called Wonder Man for my album,” Tinie told the Daily Star, before revealing the pair have now become good friends.
“We have come up together. She’s great,” he said of Ellie. “When things don’t feel real for me I call her up as she’s often going through the same thing.”
After his Wireless performance yesterday, Tempah also told the paper that he wants a long career ahead of him. “This isn’t a sprint, I’m in it for the long haul.”

On another note, The Writer has been confirmed as Ellie’s next single from Lights.
Ellie Goulding confessed she found being at Glastonbury Festival so “bizarre” the experience didn’t seem real.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter was excited and nervous to be performing at the historic festival in its 40th year on Friday.
Ellie confided: “It’s very bizarre, it’s really scary but in a kind of positive way. You’ve got to have a bit of nerves really, ’cause I’m playing later – it’s bizarre it’s really strange to be here.
She added: ” I feel like my brain just kind of locks down a little bit so I can concentrate and the tomorrow I’ll just be like ‘Oh my God!’
“And to play on the John Peel Stage is really, really exciting and me and my band are just really psyched and excited.”
Ellie shot to fame this year with her hit debut album Lights, and said she will begin working on new material eventually, but at the moment she still feels new on the scene.
She said: “There will be new stuff eventually, but I kind of feel like I haven’t given my album a chance to breathe yet, so I just want to keep keep playing stiff from that I suppose. There will be new stuff though.”

So I had such a good time seeing Ellie play at the Evolution Festival in Newcastle yesterday. She played: Lights, Every Time You Go, Guns and Horses, Starry Eyed, Under The Sheets, The Writer, Salt Skin and This Love. I wanted to get a lot of pictures, but my camera didn’t react well with the lights on stage and just came out very line-ish. I got a video of Ellie doing The Writer, and I would have got more videos but there were a lot of bottles and water being thrown about, so I didn’t want to risk damaging my camera. When I find my camera lead I will upload the video. I really enjoyed the show, she was much better than I had thought she would be. I knew she would be amazing, but she was better than that. She was such a good sport too. Somebody threw a Superman hat on stage and she just picked it up and danced around in it for a bit. I’m pretty sure she looked at me and my friend too, as we were singing along to every song – the people around us looked at us weird because we knew the words. I just hope I get tickets for her shows in November now that I have somebody to go and see her with. I also just hope that Ellie gets confirmed for Leeds Festival, although I doubt she will – she is very busy this summer doing festivals. So look forward to that video of Ellie that is coming very soon!
Ellie, born in Hereford, is probably best known for her number four hit 'Starry Eyed' and her cover of Elton John's 'Your Song'. She topped the BBC Sound of 2010 poll, and won the 2010 Critics' Choice Brit Award. After that her year just got better, with her debut album going straight in at number one. Ellie performed at most of the festivals in the summer of 2010, including Glastonbury! Her final single of 2010, 'Your Song', peaked at number two in the UK Top 40 and 2011 was another great year for Ellie, who released her debut album in America in March and performed at Coachella festival. Ellie was also chosen to play for the royal couple (William and Kate) at their after party to their wedding in April, and even appeared on Saturday Night Live with Tina Fey. She was later chosen to represent drinks brand, SoBe, in the UK. Ellie is set to release new music in 2012, and Ellie-G.com cannot wait!
