It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! Lights has finally been released as a single. You can see the official artwork for the single above, and Ellie looks great.

Ellie went to an exclusive Clare Maguire gig on Tuesday along with Marina (& the Diamonds). I have added some HQ photos of the girls together after the gig.

I have also added photos of Ellie busking for the Big Issue Foundation earlier today, so make sure to check them out!

Also, Lights news. On Saturday Ellie appeared on Radio 2 with Zoe Ball and performed Lights and Salt Skin (I will upload them later, or just wait until I unveil the brand new downloads centre). At the end of her segment Zoe announced that Lights will be released on 14th March, so make sure you all buy a copy when it comes out!

OK! So, sorry I have been a little absent over the Christmas period… I had my birthday too, and exams and all the rest. Anyway, as you will notice we have a new design on the site, thanks to Shawn Corson, and we have a gallery layout coming soon from him too. Its been a really long wait for them but I like the look, don’t you?

Back to the Ellie news! Ellie has confirmed that ‘Lights’ – title track of her debut album, but only released on the iTunes version, but then released on the re-release ‘Bright Lights’ – will be her next single and not ‘Human’ or even ‘Animal’ as previously speculated. This is good news! This means we get another video of Ellie which is “looking GOOD” and then we’ll probably get a video for ‘Human’ and ‘Animal’ as well?

If you’re wondering why I’m mentioning ‘Animal’ as a single, its because of the fan response to the song and also the fact that it has been included on the US release of ‘Lights’, along with the title track and ‘Your Song’. Slightly jealous that the Americans get more songs than we did, but we’ve had her for longer over here in England! So I suppose its fair.

I have some gorgeous new photoshoots to add to the gallery which I will do tonight, one is brand new to the gallery and two are just some HQs of an old photoshoot already in the gallery. So look out for those, they really are stunning!

There is also some bad news, I suppose, Your Song has slipped to number 3 in the mid-week charts, despite the fact that the song is number 2 on the iTunes chart. Nicole Scherzinger is #2 and the X Factor Finalists are #1 still.

Ellie has kept hold of her midweeks spot and moved up to number two in the official top 40 this week! That is great news!

Hopefully, with the release of Bright Lights tomorrow next week she might have a number one single and number one album!

Fingers crossed Ellie fans! And remember, buy Bright Lights and Your Song now!

‘Your Song’ has climed to number 2 in the chart update. The X Factor single is at number 1, but Sunday’s number 1 has slipped to number 3. I hope Ellie can keep hold of the number 2 spot or even move up into the top spot!

Also, Ellie has confirmed that her single with Tinie Tempah – Wonderman – will be coming out next year. I would post the link to the interview, but there are tons of spelling and grammar mistakes and I don’t want to inflict that upon my readers.

Oh, and some more exciting news! Ellie has mentioned she would really like to work with Rihanna on her next album and will probably cover one of her songs soon.

4Music have contacted me to let me know that Ellie’s latest single, ‘Your Song’ is the VIP track for the week. This means that it will be played on 4Music, The Box, Q and Kiss and will probably be played around 100 times. This is a great way for the song to be noticed even more, and perhaps even get it up to the number one spot that it so rightly deserves.

4Music can be found on freeview channel 18, sky channel 360, and virgin media channel 330. So look out for it very soon!
